Truck Upfitting in Utah
Heritage Industries is a work truck upfitter in Salt Lake City. We build, upfit, service and refurbish trucks and vans for fleets across Utah and the Intermountain West — everything from a single service body installation to a multi-vehicle fleet rollout, handled in our own shop on 4988 West 150 South.
We are not a parts counter. Heritage designs and manufactures its own equipment, including the patented NB-80 lube skid and the EnPak Quick Dock system, alongside installing bodies, beds, cranes and interiors from Stellar, Milron, Bedrock, Ranger Design and Miller. That combination — an engineering and fabrication shop that is also a dealer — is why mining, construction and municipal fleets bring us the builds nobody else will take on.
What We Upfit
Service Bodies
We install all-aluminum Milron service bodies in 6, 8 and 9-foot lengths, chosen when weight matters: aluminum resists corrosion naturally and its strength-to-weight ratio lets you carry more payload without pushing the truck past its GVWR. For heavier work we fit [Stellar steel service bodies], built for welders, air compressors and equipment that punishes a lighter body, with crane mounts integrated into the structure rather than bolted on afterwards.

Flatbeds and Truck Beds
We are a Bedrock Truck Beds dealer, covering the full range — Diamond, Granite, Granite+, Onyx, Marble and Limestone. Flatbeds suit crews hauling awkward or oversized loads that a compartmentalized service body cannot take, and they are straightforward to combine with headache racks, gooseneck hitches and under-bed storage.
Mechanic and Crane Trucks
Heritage builds complete mechanic trucks around the Stellar TMAX platform, including the TMAX 16K, TMAX 1 and TMAX 2. We install and service Stellar hydraulic service cranes — the 12630 and 8630, and the 3315 electric-hydraulic for lighter-duty work. Crane installation is not a bolt-on job: mounting, hydraulics, stability and controls all have to be engineered against the specific chassis, which is the kind of work our shop exists to do.

Lube Skids
Our NB-80 lube skid is a Heritage design, protected by U.S. Patent No. 11,598,231. It is a self-contained all-aluminum unit weighing around 1,000 pounds, with an 80-gallon used oil reservoir, a 55-gallon new oil reservoir, five skid-mounted reels and integrated DECKED drawer units, in a footprint of 66 by 48 by 60 inches. It runs standalone or drops into a van, pickup or service vehicle.
The reason fleets move to a skid in a van is economics. A field service truck averages around 6 mpg against roughly 16 for a van, and a van does not require a CDL, DOT hour logging or medical cards for the operator. It also gets into places a lube truck cannot — ski resorts, city streets, residential driveways and freeway shoulders — and can work at night in noise-restricted neighborhoods. The smaller LP-100 covers lighter maintenance routes.
Van Interiors and Shelving
We are a Ranger Design installer, with trade-specific packages for contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, mobile service crews and delivery fleets, plus the Trazer truck utility system. Shelving, partitions, flooring and racking get specified around the tools the crew actually carries, so vans come back configured for the work rather than filled with generic bins.

Onboard Power, Air and Welding
Running a truck engine for jobsite power is expensive. We install Miller EnPak power systems, including the A60GBHW, along with the Trailblazer 330 welder, HDI Air Pak 265 and 325 units, and CabEn climate solutions. We also fit Vanair compressor systems.
Heritage builds its own EnPak Quick Dock, which lets a crew un-dock and dock an EnPak power system in an hour or less using two stainless quick-release pins and pre-plumbed hydraulic, fuel, air and 12-volt connections. For a fleet running scheduled maintenance, moving a power system between chassis in an hour instead of a day changes how you plan downtime.
Mobile Hose Vehicle
Our Mobile Hose Vehicle builds put hose assembly and repair capability on the jobsite, so a failed hydraulic line is fixed where the machine sits rather than trucked to a shop.

Protective Coatings
HI-LINER is our spray-applied hybrid polyurea lining, made in America, UV stable and permanently bonded to the surface so it will not crack or peel. It is watertight, available in a range of colors, and adds a non-slip surface that reduces both cargo slippage and the risk of someone going over in a wet bed. We also apply frame, axle and full-vehicle undercoating.

Mining
Lube skids, mobile hose vehicles and heavy service bodies for remote sites where equipment has to be maintained where it stands.
Construction
Mechanic trucks, crane trucks, flatbeds and contractor van packages for crews moving between sites.
Municipalities
Standardized, repeatable builds that meet procurement specifications and can be replicated across a fleet year after year.
Utilities
Service bodies and onboard power for crews working from the vehicle for a full shift.
Trades
Electrical, plumbing and HVAC van interiors built around the tools and stock each trade carries.
How a Heritage Build Works
Most upfitters sell you a catalogue item and bolt it on. We start earlier than that and stay involved longer.
For fleet customers this is the part that matters most. Once a build is specified and proven, we can repeat it across the fleet, so unit twenty is identical to unit one and your technicians only have to learn one layout.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an upfit take?
It depends on the build. A coating job or a straightforward body installation is a short turnaround; a full mechanic truck with a crane, hydraulics and onboard power takes considerably longer, and chassis availability is often the longest pole in the tent. Tell us what you need and when you need it, and we will give you a firm schedule with your quote.
Do you work on fleets?
Yes, and it is most of what we do. We build for mining, construction, utility and municipal fleets across the Intermountain West. Once a specification is agreed we can repeat it consistently across as many vehicles as you run, which keeps your fleet standardized and your technicians working on one known layout.
Do you supply the chassis, or do I bring my own?
Either. We can source and supply a chassis as part of the build, or upfit a truck or van you already own. If you are buying new, talk to us before you order — the chassis specification affects what can be mounted on it, and a short conversation early avoids an expensive surprise later.
What warranty applies?
Equipment we install carries the manufacturer’s warranty — Stellar, Milron, Bedrock, Ranger Design, Miller and the rest — and we handle warranty claims on your behalf rather than leaving you to chase the manufacturer. Heritage separately warrants its own fabrication and installation work. Full terms are provided with your quote.
Do you service and repair existing truck bodies?
Yes. We service, troubleshoot, repair and refurbish truck bodies and upfits, including ones we did not build. If something has failed in the field, submit a field service request and we will triage it by severity.
Where are you located?
Our shop is at 4988 West 150 South in Salt Lake City, open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. We serve customers throughout Utah and the wider Intermountain West.
